We are committed to providing superior customer service, professional certified testing, and quality performance evaluations for our clients.

Our mission is to work closely with Builders and Contractors to achieve maximum envelope tightness during the construction process in order to meet or exceed code regulations regarding energy efficiency. We also evaluate and identify areas where homeowners can improve the energy efficiency of their home. We certify our results and provide our builders, contractors, and homeowners with the required documentation to obtain their certificates of occupancy per Alabama regulations.

The Auburn Blower Door team brings over 40 years custom construction experience along with professional certification and hands on experience to offer our clients the best possible results. For these reasons, Auburn Blower Door is the premier duct tightness test and blower door testing contractor in Alabam.

Raymond Gunsauley is a Georgia Licensed Builder, Certified Project Manager, Certified DET Verifier and was the driving force behind the very successful Porter Development and WestPort Development achievements.  Together the companies built over 50 Custom homes from 2003-2010 ranging in price from the mid $400’s to $2,000,000.  Over half of these homes were in excess of $1,000,000 in price.  Raymond was responsible for the daily operations of the companies including: Supervision of Staff, Directing Subcontractors and Vendors, Scheduling, and Inspections.  In addition, Raymond was responsible for Finish Schedules in new construction and Warranty Programs. Raymond’s outstanding communication skills together with his customer service experience were essential to daily operations. During his time with Porter Development, Raymond developed relationships with key subcontractors, Real Estate Agents, Government Officials, Vendors, and Clients.

Raymond Founded Atlanta Blower Door in 2012 to help builders and general contractors meet the current energy building codes through education, training, consultation and testing. Additionally, Raymond is passionate about supporting the Atlanta Music Project (AMP), a non-profit organization provided social change through music. The Atlanta Music Project provides intensive, tuition-free music education for underserved youth right in their neighborhood. Atlanta Blower Door provides their support through voluntary services, fundraising and by donating 1% of its annual proceeds to AMP.

Raymond and his son Austin Gunsauley partnered up in 2019 to expand their operations into the state of Alabama by co-founding Auburn Blower Door LLC and are excited about the opportunity to maintain strong family values while making a difference in helping to reduce the carbon footprint we produce in the construction industry.
